With Kids Yoga with Erika & Sara Moore from Ocher Bee Cultural Connection

Give your child a magical school-holiday morning filled with movement, creativity, and cultural connection.

This special 2-hour workshop brings together mindful kids yoga and First Nations ochre art and storytelling, creating a nourishing space for children to explore, express, and connect.

✨ Workshop Flow

🧘‍♀️ 1st Hour: Kids Yoga & Mindfulness with Erika

Children begin their morning with:

  • Mindful movement and stretching
  • Breathwork for emotional regulation
  • Creative storytelling through yoga poses
  • Relaxation techniques to calm the mind
  • Gentle activities designed to build self-awareness, confidence, and joy

This grounding practice helps kids settle, regulate, and feel centred before moving into their creative cultural experience.

🎨 2nd Hour: Grounded Ochre Art with Sara Moore

An Aboriginal cultural experience led by Sara Moore from Ocher Bee.

Children are invited to sit, listen, respect, and share an experience with real Ochres.

Sara will guide the kids through:

  • Painting themselves with earth pigment as a recognition of Land, Country, and Mother Earth
  • Understanding the wellbeing and connection behind wearing sacred natural paint
  • Creating a mini art piece telling their own story — to take home and share
  • A gentle, meaningful way for kids to connect with themselves, the earth, and their creativity.

🌟 What Families Can Expect

  • 🧘‍♀️ Emotional regulation and mindfulness woven through movement
  • 📚 Beautiful cultural knowledge shared by a local First Nations facilitator
  • 🎨 Hands-on creative activities using authentic natural materials
